Milan studied trumpet, composition and jazz studies at Mount Hood College in Oregon. From there he went on to work cruise ship orchestra jobs, eventually finding his way to Austin, Texas where he was quickly welcomed into the local jazz scene. After many years as a sideman he began leading his own groups, who have become popular favorites at venues around the Austin area. Milan has a unique jazz trumpet sound influenced by the trumpet masters of the past; he’s known for his exceptional control over the instrument and ability to deliver a melody with care, finesse and honesty. Milan brings bands filled with Austin’s finest players, along with top notch professionalism to each and every show, making for entertaining performances the listener is sure to enjoy.
